We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Manager IV to lead the construction of a new in-patient state hospital facility in Texas. The successful candidate will provide senior-level project management for the development of the new facility, working closely with the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Project Oversight**: Act as the Owner's Representative for the development of the new facility project, preparing and establishing project schedules, and monitoring progress throughout the project's life cycle.
2. **Professional Services Management**: Manage and direct services performed by professional services providers, including architects, engineers, and construction contractors.
3. **Contract Administration**: Oversee the administration of construction contracts, reviewing and approving change orders, and determining construction levels to review and approve construction draws and milestone completions.
4. **Compliance and Risk Management**: Assist in reviewing codes and departmental regulations to determine if design and constructed conditions comply with current requirements, and develop solutions for compliance.
5. **Special Projects**: Provide other technical services and special projects as requested by the Department.
Requirements:
* Knowledge of project management theories and practices applicable to commercial construction projects.
* Skill in project management monitoring, addressing changes in scope and budget, and monitoring the schedule of the project.
* Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions, analyze complex information, and develop plans to address identified issues.
* Proficient skill in the use of personal computers and applicable programs, applications.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous activities in a diverse and complex environment.
