Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in a civil engineering training program to develop practical proficiency in engineering knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Work on projects assigned per the trainee's training plan and applicable rotation.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of proficiency in bridge engineering, transportation engineering, civil structural engineering, hydraulic engineering, or geotechnical engineering.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to gain insight and expertise.
Requirements
  • Four years of civil engineering experience, or an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or a closely related field, which includes or was supplemented by major course work in civil engineering.
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training, including possession of an Engineer-in-Training certificate.
