Baton Rouge General Medical Center is seeking a skilled Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team in a full-time, day shift position. As a Cardiac Telemetry Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Coordinate patient assessment through collection of patient's health data, analyze patient assessments to determine nursing diagnoses, and identify expected outcomes.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate an interdisciplinary plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes, implement interventions identified in the plan of care, and evaluate patient's progress toward attainment of outcomes.
- Cardiac Care: Responsible for the initiation and management of non-titrated IV cardiac infusions, perform appropriate interpretation of ECG rhythm strips, and manage interventions.
- Procedural Sedation and Cardioversion: Administer and monitor Procedural Sedation, set up and perform Cardioversion procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience: 1 year clinical RN experience preferred.
- Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year.
- Licensure: Current Louisiana RN licensure.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of basic ECG rhythm interpretation.
- Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable HIPAA regulations.
- Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable safety practices.
