Responsibilities
  • Perform assembly, troubleshooting, prototyping, and light fabrication in shop and field settings.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to organize tools and materials and plan for assembly and installation.
  • Identify potential issues and opportunities for Change Orders and communicate with project managers and other engineering personnel.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings and documentation for custom machines, systems, and products.
  • Maintain tool organization.
  • Provide troubleshooting to follow a problem to the source and solve the issue.
  • Develop and execute quality control and project checklists.
  • Learn to view designs and navigate 3D/2D CAD software.
  • Train and mentor Field Service Engineers I.
  • Provide feedback for performance reviews as needed.
Requirements
  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in a role requiring hands-on mechanical applications and installations.
  • Ability to identify and use basic hand tools.
  • Valid drivers license required.
  • Ability to follow work direction and prioritize assigned tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as a team.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers to include Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to stretch current abilities to learn new skills.
  • Aptitude for leadership preferred.
  • Ability to understand scope of work for specific tasks.
