Job Title: CT Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist to join our team at Dent Neurologic Institute. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography scans and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Translate physician orders into appropriate diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Perform CT examinations of all anatomic structures as ordered by the physician
  • Instruct and support patients during imaging procedures
  • Obtain accurate documentation of patient history pertaining to specific examination
  • Assist nurses with IV lines/injection and notify physician/supervisor promptly of any potential issues or reactions
  • Provide technical direction to personnel within work team during working hours and during shift changes
  • Monitor work flow to assure appropriate patient and testing turnaround times
  • Maintain records as directed by department head, including computer records
  • Perform daily quality assurance testing with CT equipment and routinely clean all equipment
  • Determine if additional images are necessary and notify supervisor of any equipment service issues
Requirements:
  • AAS Degree in Radiology Technology from an approved school of radiology
  • ARRT certification ARRT (R), ARRT (CT)
  • Must maintain current license as Radiologic Technologist, with injection by NYSDOH
  • BLS required at time of acceptance of position
  • Minimum 1 year working experience working on CT machines
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 years prior working experience working on CT machines
  • Experience with 3D-recon software preferred
Working Conditions:

This position requires strenuous physical effort, engaging in major physical activity involving lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling patients in excess of 200 pounds. The work environment is almost continuous noise inherent to the scanning equipment, with occasional cold temperatures in working area related to equipment maintenance.
