Job Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Ambulatory Care. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe, record, and report concerns or changes in patients' conditions
  • Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and report to the Clinic Coordinator
  • Adhere to the LPN scope of practice, the Nursing code of ethics, and local, VISN, and National Directives
  • Collaborate with other members of the care team to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Perform delegated procedures and timely complete documentation
Requirements
  • Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing
  • Full, active, current, and unrestricted licensure as a licensed practical or vocational nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or District of Columbia
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
