Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $96,812.50, based on a range of $46.25-$73.75 per hour. This figure may vary depending on factors such as location, experience, and applicable state or local minimum wage laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent patient care by performing physical examinations, diagnosing diseases, and providing preventive care.
  • Utilize a problem-based approach to develop treatment plans, including diagnostic tests and treatments.
  • Document all patient observations, findings, and interactions in a concise and detailed fashion.
  • Perform routine and complex surgical procedures, including spays/neuters, abdominal exploratory, and mass removals.
  • Develop treatment plans for patients undergoing day hospitalization and communicate effectively with referral hospitals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located.
  • Current DEA license and Controlled Substance License, if applicable.
  • USDA Category I Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date.
  • Comfortable performing anesthesia and routine surgeries.
