Hospitalist Physician

Williamson Health is seeking a skilled Hospitalist Physician to join our team. As a Hospitalist, you will provide high-quality, cost-effective, and evidence-based medical care to hospitalized patients. You will also support our surgical and specialty services through consultative general medicine practice.

• Coordinate care for patients at discharge and facilitate hand-off to outpatient physicians.
• Provide leadership and direction for the hospitalist program, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and compliance with clinical pathways.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to determine the best care plan for hospitalized patients.
• Prescribe or recommend pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, including controlled medications.
• Communicate with primary care physicians or specialists as needed during admission and at discharge for optimal continuum of care.
• Participate in the achievement of patient safety goals, quality measures, clinical outcomes, and financial performance consistent with Williamson Health objectives.

• Current licensure by the State of Tennessee as a medical doctor or osteopathic physician.
• Current DEA number.
• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Current ACLS certification.
