Oula seeks a highly skilled Obstetrician Gynecologist to collaborate with our midwifery team in the inpatient setting at Mount Sinai West.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide coverage for 14 (12 hour) shifts per month on the MSW Labor & Delivery floor as Oula Ob/Gyn, caring for Oula patients who need OB/GYN coverage and co-managing patients with the Oula midwifery team.
- Cover Oula 1st call shifts as needed in staffing shortages/emergency situations.
- Rounding on, caring for, and discharging Oula postpartum patients who have had operative deliveries and/or are higher risk patients needing care coordination.
- Rounding on, caring for, and discharging Oula patients who have been readmitted to the hospital.
- Rounding on, caring for, and discharging Oula patients on the antepartum service as needed to follow up MFM recommendations.
- Participating in the education and training of new midwives, residents, and medical and midwifery students.
- PASSIONATE ABOUT MAXIMIZING LOW INTERVENTION BIRTH AND CENTERING EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICES IN OBSTETRICS.
- PASSIONATE ABOUT PARTICIPATING IN A COLLABORATIVE CARE PROGRAM DEDICATED TO IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF MATERNITY CARE.
- EXCITED BY THE POTENTIAL FOR TECH TO TRANSFORM THE PREGNANCY EXPERIENCE AND DRIVE GREATER PERSONALIZATION IN TERMS OF CARE.
- DEDICATED TO ONGOING QUALITY IMPROVEMENT.
- DEDICATED TO SUPPORTING KEY PRINCIPLES OF BODY AUTONOMY, SELF-DETERMINATION, AND CULTURAL RESPECT.
- MD or DO
- Residency in obstetrics / gynecology
- At least 3-5 years of experience in obstetrics following residency/fellowship, preferably with a focus on obstetrics
- Experience building and/or managing clinical programs
- Licensed to practice medicine in New York State
$285,000-$310,000 USD base annual salary range. This competitive compensation package reflects the level of expertise and dedication required for this role.
