  • Dispense pharmaceuticals with meticulous attention to detail, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Monitor patient medication therapies, identifying potential interactions or adverse reactions and recommending appropriate adjustments to prescribing physicians.
  • Maintain and review patient profiles, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of medication information.
  • Collaborate effectively with medical staff, nursing personnel, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Manage inventory levels of approved medications, ensuring adequate supplies for routine, emergency, and floor stock situations.

Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree is required. Continuous education is mandatory to maintain licensure.

Certification/Licenses: Active licensure by the New Mexico Board of Pharmacy is essential. Ongoing professional development and certifications are encouraged.

Skills:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for clear and concise interactions with healthcare professionals.
  • Advanced mathematical abilities to accurately calculate dosages and medication requirements.
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems and electronic health records.
