Frederick Living, part of Garden Spot Communities, is a 32-bed Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in Zieglerville, PA. We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team.
About the RoleWe offer a competitive salary range of $16-17.50 per hour for this full-time position, which includes every other weekend shift from 10:30am-6:30pm. As a Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing breakfast entrees and accompaniments, hot food preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents, staff, and yourself.
Responsibilities- Prepare breakfast entrees and accompaniments following preparation sheets and provided recipes for dining room service, healthcare center, Bistro, and special functions.
- Responsible for hot food preparation, including accompaniments and garnishes.
- Advance preparation as needed.
- Complete preparation records and store food items properly at close of meal service.
- Clean work area and equipment used in food preparation.
- High school education or equivalent preferred.
- 1 year experience as a cook preferred.
