We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Adolescent Health team at Peoples Community Clinic. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality medical care to patients aged 3 months to 9 years, with a focus on adolescent medicine.
Responsibilities- Provide direct medical care to patients, including physical examinations, medical histories, and assessments.
- Diagnose and manage illnesses and conditions, and develop treatment plans according to established standards of care.
- Counsel patients on their treatment options, medications, and general health and wellness.
- Make referrals to medical specialists and other services as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, including chart audits and process improvements.
- BS or BA with graduation from an accredited NP program.
- Minimum two years experience as a NP serving a diverse patient population in a primary care facility.
- CPR certification.
- Certified to practice as a nurse practitioner in the State of Texas.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Problem identification and resolution skills.
- Time management skills.
