Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Adolescent Health team at Peoples Community Clinic. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality medical care to patients aged 3 months to 9 years, with a focus on adolescent medicine.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct medical care to patients, including physical examinations, medical histories, and assessments.
  • Diagnose and manage illnesses and conditions, and develop treatment plans according to established standards of care.
  • Counsel patients on their treatment options, medications, and general health and wellness.
  • Make referrals to medical specialists and other services as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, including chart audits and process improvements.
Qualifications
  • BS or BA with graduation from an accredited NP program.
  • Minimum two years experience as a NP serving a diverse patient population in a primary care facility.
  • CPR certification.
  • Certified to practice as a nurse practitioner in the State of Texas.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Time management skills.
