Job Summary

This adjunct faculty member teaches courses in the area of Criminal Justice within the College's School of Justice Program.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides classroom instruction and develops curriculum to meet state and national standards.
  • Participates in curriculum development and revision, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Assesses student learning outcomes and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Supervises field experiences and internship programs, providing guidance and support to students.
  • Serves as a resource for faculty members and other program areas, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Recruits and advises Criminal Justice students, providing guidance on academic and career paths.
  • Participates in grant writing and acquisition of external funding for the School of Justice, supporting program growth and development.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the program.
Minimum Requirements
  • Master's degree in Criminal Justice from a regionally accredited institution or a Master's degree or Juris Doctorate degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution and 18 graduate credit hours in Criminal Justice or Public Safety.
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years experience in college or university teaching preferred.
  • Must possess current knowledge of curriculum and methodology issues in Public Safety and Criminal Justice.
  • Qualified applicants must demonstrate positive human relations and communications skills.
  • Must be willing to work on multiple campuses/outreach locations.
