Key Responsibilities:
  • Surgical Duties:
    Assist the surgeon during patient consultations and procedures, ensuring all instruments are prepared and sterile. Responsibilities include:
    • Cleaning and sterilizing instruments according to established protocols.
    • Setting up surgical trays and ensuring the operating room is ready for procedures.
    • Positioning patients appropriately and performing pre-operative preparations.
    • Monitoring and supporting patients under sedation.
    • Circulating and retrieving instruments as needed during surgery.
  • Non-Surgical Duties:
    Manage administrative tasks and support patient care by:
    • Restocking supplies and ensuring all rooms are well-equipped.
    • Taking vital signs and assisting with patient intake.
    • Scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate patient records.
    • Making follow-up calls to patients to ensure their needs are met.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Dental X-ray license required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Assistant program.
  • Certification as a Surgical Assistant.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts.
