Exterior Painting Specialist

CertaPro Painters of Red Bank is seeking a reliable and skilled Exterior Painting Specialist to join our team. As an employee painter, you will have the opportunity to work in various settings, including commercial and residential environments.

The ideal candidate for this role is a motivated individual with two years of professional painting experience. You should be physically able to perform the duties of the job, which include repetitive movements, standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, climbing stairs and ladders, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up the job site, moving all items to the center and covering them with sheeting and drop cloths for interior jobs or power/hand-washing for exterior jobs.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting, repairing holes and cracks, sealing stains, and sanding surfaces for interior jobs or removing loose paint, scuff sanding areas, and caulking gaps to prevent water intrusion for exterior jobs.
  • Apply premium quality paint to a uniform finish.
  • Clean up daily and after the job is complete, moving all items back to desired locations and sweeping/vacuuming floors and carpets for interior jobs or removing paint chips or other debris for exterior jobs.
  • Inspect work for the highest quality.
  • Execute work orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain strict attention to detail when working at customer's property.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and securely store equipment and supplies.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure required documentation is complete and in compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other employees.
  • Promote business development by projecting a positive image of the company.
  • Participate in meetings, committees, educational opportunities, etc. as requested/required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Two years of professional painting experience is preferred.
  • You must be able to be paid as a W-2 employee on payroll.
  • You must have painting skills and knowledge of painting tools and equipment.
  • Industry knowledge is preferred.
  • You must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You must have exceptional customer service skills.
  • You must be highly organized and self-motivated.
  • You must be quality conscious and detail-oriented.
  • You must have an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • You must have your own vehicle.
  • You must have the physical ability to perform all aspects of this job.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
