Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team at The Grand Pavilion for Rehabilitation and Nursing at Rockville C. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing specialized care and treatment to patients with cardio-pulmonary, respiratory conditions, neurological disorders, and physical conditions that manifest into respiratory disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Maintain Systems: Develop and maintain systems that build and enhance the facility's reputation for being the unparalleled provider of Respiratory Therapy and demonstrates the facility's approach to interdisciplinary care.
  • Monitor Financial Performance: Monitor the financial performance of the Respiratory Therapy department and effectively seek methods to improve this performance while ensuring that the standards are consistently observed.
  • Contribute to Professional Development: Contribute to the professional development of self and facility's staff by maintaining current professional status and licensure, adhering to professional standards of conduct and clinical code of ethics and practice, and providing new employee orientation and ongoing staff development programs.
  • Aid in Building and Maintaining Reputation: Aid in building and maintaining the facility's reputation as the unparalleled respiratory therapy provider by consistently demonstrating the facility's core values, contributing to a positive work team, and establishing and maintaining an effective rapport with the facility administrator, MDS, Rehab Director, DON, and medical director.
  • Provide Patient Treatments: Provide patient treatments that meet patient needs and use current treatment knowledge in accordance with facilities clinical procedures.
  • Write Accurate Documentation: Write accurate, complete, and clear documentation in accordance with CareRite Centers, regulatory, licensing, payor, and accrediting requirements.
  • Demonstrate Safe Working Practices: Demonstrate safe working practices by identifying and correcting safety hazards, maintaining work areas in safe and orderly fashion, and using proper body mechanics during treatments of patients and during support activities.
Requirements:
  • Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of respiratory community, demonstrated leadership and management skills, and skills applicable to clinical discipline.
  • Salary: $37 to $45 an hour
  • Schedule: 5 days a week, hours per week
  • Rate: Based on experience
