Are you prepared for the upcoming season and interested in a fulfilling role in childcare? Jovie is seeking skilled caregivers to support families in our community. We specialize in providing respite care for children with diverse needs, including those with autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy. We are currently looking for caregivers for regular weekly placements as well as occasional on-call assignments.
We offer both full-time and part-time positions that allow you to be part of a dedicated respite care team.
Location: Opportunities available throughout the region, with efforts made to place you near your home.
About You:
- You enjoy engaging with children and possess a fun-loving spirit.
- You have relevant childcare experience (experience with special needs is advantageous) and can provide references from previous childcare roles.
- You are capable of disconnecting from distractions to focus on children.
- You have access to reliable transportation.
- You are either CPR/First Aid Certified or willing to obtain certification (we offer reimbursement for this training).
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base Pay: Competitive hourly rate ranging from $17.50 to $18.50, along with sibling care bonuses and guaranteed mileage reimbursements.
- Sibling Care Bonuses: Additional $2 per hour for each extra child cared for.
- Mileage Reimbursement: Up to 40 miles round trip, potentially adding up to $25 extra per job, which is non-taxable.
- Total Effective Hourly Rate: Potentially up to $26.25 per hour on select assignments.
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate your other commitments.
- Paid training and opportunities for professional development, including CPR/First Aid certification.
