About the Job

We are looking for a highly skilled Front-End Software Specialist to join our team at SpaceX. As a member of our Displays team, you will be responsible for designing and developing user interfaces and backend systems that enable the scaling of our Starship program. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, as well as experience with vector and motion graphics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create aesthetically pleasing and functional user interfaces that reduce cognitive load while maintaining high safety standards
  • Enable fleet operations by simplifying software complexity and mission-over-mission maintenance
  • Maintain high software standards and engineering best practices
  • Troubleshoot and develop long-term solutions for technical problems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field
  • Development experience in JavaScript, C++, or Python
  • 2+ years of software development experience
  • Expert knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with vector and motion graphics, including SVG, HTML5 Canvas, WebGL, and CSS
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $170,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, discretionary bonuses, comprehensive medical coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and other benefits.
