Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant to join our team at Mayo Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or other assigned supervisor.
  • Collect data through observation and communicate information to assist in patient assessment and care planning.
  • Participate as a member of the healthcare team and accept delegation from the RN/assigned supervisor and provider in meeting the needs of the patient/family.
  • Deliver care in accordance with the patient care plan, policies and procedures of the organization, and principles of relationship-based care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a school of practical nursing or passed LPN Boards after a defined period in a professional nursing program.
  • One year of LPN experience working in an applicable setting is required. One year LPN experience within the last five years preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Computer skills required, prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
