About the Job

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist I to join our team on a per diem/prn basis in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist I to perform radiographic procedures, communicate with patients, and maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiology positioning and techniques, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Competently perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic and general fluoroscopic.
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and confirm their understanding.
  • Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, providing patient radiation protection and safety.
  • Identify patients, label images, and compare requisitions to physician's orders to ensure exam accuracy.
  • Process images, ensuring quality of radiographs, and call back patients as necessary.
  • Assist, communicate, and consult with Radiologists.
  • Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
  • Document billing codes of procedures performed to ensure accurate patient charges.
  • Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, requiring lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
Requirements
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday. They must be able to stand/walk for the majority of the day and lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, as well as push/pull with 30 lbs. of force.
