We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a School Physical Therapist, you will work with pediatric students to help them reach their maximum performance potential within an educational model of practice.
Responsibilities:- Consult and collaborate with school staff and families to address developmental, neuromuscular, congenital, skeletal, disability-related, and acquired conditions.
- Conduct initial screenings and comprehensive evaluations to determine students' need for services or dismissal from services.
- Participate in the IEP process to develop present levels of performance, goals, and objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for Physical Therapy services.
- Provide Physical Therapy sessions using current best practices based on prescribed services in the IEP.
- Maintain all documentation required by the district, including daily notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEPs.
- MS/DPT in Physical Therapy or BS with equivalent work experience.
- Current license to practice in the state of Louisiana.
- Ongoing continuing education and professional development.
