Job Title: UF Health Regional Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatrician to join our team at UF Health Central Florida. As a Pediatrician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in pediatrics and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.
  • Work collaboratively with members of the healthcare team, including pharmacists, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff.
  • Review incoming reports and follow up in a timely manner.
  • Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
  • Refer patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
  • Manage the daily operations of a specific medical program or patient care unit.
  • Direct and coordinate the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
  • Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
  • Participate in specified health promotion, education, and/or prevention programs.
  • Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical and operational meetings as requested.
Requirements:
  • Licensed to practice medicine in accordance with Chapter 458, Florida Statutes.
  • Four years of appropriate experience.
  • Completion of a residency program may substitute for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Specialty License or Certification.
  • Board certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty.
  • Certification/Licensure in the state of Florida and Federal DEA Certification.
