Ready Mix Driver

We are seeking a skilled Ready Mix Driver to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. in Bessemer, AL. As a Ready Mix Driver, you will be responsible for delivering concrete to job sites in a timely and safe manner, while maintaining excellent customer service and adhering to company safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver ready mix concrete to customers in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain vehicle in a clean and organized condition, adhering to company safety standards
- Perform minor roadside repairs and ensure vehicle is in good working condition
- Inspect mix, slump, and verify load size to ensure quality and accuracy
- Work closely with dispatch to optimize routes and ensure safe delivery
- Assemble and operate concrete chutes during pour, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A or B
- Proficient reading, writing, and math skills
- Minimum one-year vehicle road experience operating multi-speed transmission of a Commercial vehicle
- Good driving record and valid medical card
- Concrete knowledge and experience preferred, mechanical background or skills a plus
- Ability to work six days a week, with occasional Sunday work, and drive up to 11 hours per day
