We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Psychologist to join our team at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. As a key member of our Counseling & Psychological Center, you will provide a wide range of counseling and psychological services to support the mental health and well-being of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide group counseling and workshops to address students' mental and emotional health needs
- Offer short-term individual counseling and psychotherapy in areas such as personal and educational difficulties, social conflicts, and mental and emotional disorders
- Diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders, with a focus on evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement clinical consultation and outreach programs
- Train and supervise practicum/intern graduate students
- Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselor Education, or Social Work from an accredited program
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of North Carolina to practice clinical services
- Experience working with diverse populations, including those from underrepresented and underserved communities
- Strong understanding of the intersectionality of identity and mental health
- Proficiency in delivering mental health interventions via individual and group modalities
- Ability to engage therapeutically in Spanish and English
- Experience working in a college counseling center
