Position Overview:

As a Front of House Team Member at Goose Feathers Cafe & Bakery, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service while mastering various front-of-house responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

During your shift, you may engage in the following tasks for a duration of 6-8 continuous hours:

  • Food Runner: Ensure the presentation and timely delivery of food to tables while maintaining effective communication with the kitchen staff.
  • Backer: Assist in the preparation and stocking of pastries, salads, quiches, bagels, desserts, and more.
  • Barista: Craft and serve beverages while managing the preparation and inventory of supplies.
  • Sandwich Bar Attendant: Oversee the setup and execution of sandwich orders, including stocking and breaking down the sandwich bar.
  • Register Operator: Efficiently take customer orders and coordinate tasks to ensure prompt service.
  • Catering Support: Prepare items for the next day's catering orders, ensuring everything is packed correctly for delivery.
  • Stock Management: Maintain stock levels throughout the day and restock all areas at the end of your shift.
  • Opening & Closing Duties: Participate in the daily opening and closing procedures.

Qualifications:

We prefer candidates with:
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in a full-service restaurant environment.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • References from previous employers.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, with the ability to work 4-5 days a week between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Successful applicants will be articulate, thrive in a fast-paced setting, present themselves neatly, and demonstrate reliability and punctuality while focusing on delivering exceptional customer service.
