Job Description

We are seeking skilled professionals to join our team as Field Maintenance Technicians. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for performing essential equipment service and maintenance tasks at drilling rig field locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Servicing, repairing, and adjusting drilling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Testing drilling equipment to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Providing support and training to operational crews in preventative maintenance checks and services.
  • Diagnostic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical faults and planning coordination for repair.
  • Performing and documenting technical level inspections on drilling equipment.
  • Participating in maintenance-related projects on the rig with the rig crew or 3rd party support.
  • Developing and monitoring spare and replacement parts listings for specific equipment.
  • Completing repairs identified during technical level inspections.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving on assigned equipment and assets.
  • Providing assistance to operations in designated maintenance/policy implementation.
Requirements:
  • Ability to safely navigate drilling rig work sites with occasional walking, climbing, standing, stepping, etc.
  • Ability to travel to visit drilling rig work sites and support business units.
  • Ability to work a rotational schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Lift and carry 50 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfaces.
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl during visits to field and operational work areas.
  • Frequent use of hand and power tools to perform mechanically oriented functions.
  • Ability to judge near and far distances to maintain awareness of ongoing work activities.
  • Ability to listen for unusual noises that signify equipment and machinery problems.
  • Accurate recall of information over short and long-term memory.
  • Maintain spatial orientation and awareness to safely move around the work environment.
  • Stay alert and focused during occasional extended work periods.
  • Demonstrate clear communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all designated times.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, including interacting productively with coworkers and third parties.
  • Work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others.
  • Demonstrate basic math skills.
  • Possess basic computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in using maintenance software and updating work orders.
  • Ability to operate oilfield equipment and pass certification exams as necessary.
  • Attend and successfully complete all additional training courses and certification courses as assigned.
  • Ability to meet pre-employment testing requirements, including drug and alcohol tests and background checks.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license and eligibility to drive Company vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of technical training or advanced education courses.
  • Control system experience in automation and electronics.
  • Instrumentation and electronics control system experience.
  • Diesel technology and power generation experience.
