We are seeking an experienced Neuro Rehabilitation Therapist to join our team at Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation. As a Speech and Language Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from neurological injuries and conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluation and Treatment Planning: Perform comprehensive evaluations to identify patients' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, and develop personalized treatment plans to address their needs.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other disciplines to ensure seamless coordination of care, enhance patient outcomes, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Discharge Planning: Conduct discharge evaluations, provide recommendations for home and community safety, and offer referral and education resources to support patients' continued recovery.
- Education and Licensure: Master's degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program and valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice.
- Experience and Skills: Minimum of one year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, with knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury preferred. Demonstrates effective communication and professional interaction skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures. Requires fine motor skills, visual acuity, and the ability to walk/stand for extended periods, with additional physical requirements including pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently.
