Key Responsibilities:

As a PAP Therapy Specialist, you will oversee the clinical, technical, and administrative aspects of the PAP Therapy program at our facility. Your duties will include:
  • Contacting patients to arrange equipment setups (CPAP, AutoPAP, BiPAP) while educating them on the clinical advantages of PAP therapy and the risks associated with sleep apnea.
  • Maintaining communication with physicians, referred contacts, healthcare professionals, and others involved in the care of patients referred to VieMed for home respiratory therapy services.
  • Keeping accurate records, including charting, progress notes, clinical files, equipment logs, preventative maintenance records, and other essential documentation.
  • Managing the inventory of all Home Medical Products assets and supplies effectively.
  • Ensuring that all relevant demographic information is updated consistently, reflecting any changes in personal or professional status.
  • Demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills while adhering to cost-containment policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with office staff to ensure timely and accurate billing and documentation of services, including providing necessary information to meet third-party payor guidelines for coverage.
  • Working alongside clinical, managerial, and sales teams to promote and market home respiratory therapy services to all referral sources.
  • Being available for patient contact and responsive to patient needs.
  • Cooperating with team members (other RTs, PCCs, and various departments) to ensure task completion.
  • Performing additional duties or projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in administrative and clinical roles within an office environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with patients, physicians, and other stakeholders.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in operating office equipment and computers.
