Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CDL A Driver Trainee to join our team at Giant Eagle. As a CDL A Driver Trainee, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods from our warehouses to our stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor trailer in a safe and efficient manner to deliver products to our stores.
  • Load and unload products from the trailer in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the tractor trailer to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Communicate with dispatch and other team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Participate in our in-house training program to obtain your CDL A license.
Requirements
  • Must have a valid driver's license for at least two years prior to hire.
  • Must have no commercial DUI/DWI on record.
  • Must have no personal DUI/DWI on record within the previous 5 years.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
