Job Summary:

As a Experienced Registered Nurse with Duke Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the organization's mission to improve health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to patients, utilizing the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating) to achieve patient-centered outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advance nursing knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the North Carolina State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse or compact RN licensure to practice in the state of North Carolina.
  • BLS (or higher) certification required.
  • Professional specialty certification preferred.
  • At least one year of previous work experience as a clinical nurse is required; at least one year previous work experience as a registered nurse is required for a Clinical Nurse II role.
  • Graduation from an accredited Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher), Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 year of previous Emergency Department or Critical Care RN experience preferred.
