Physical Therapist Assistant

PACS Inc is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Rehabilitation team. As a key member of our department, you will work closely with our Physical Therapists to provide high-quality patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Treat patients as directed by Physical Therapists, ensuring accurate and effective treatment plans.
- Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes, adhering to PT Board standards.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized department, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
- Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences, staying informed about patient progress and needs.
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment areas, ensuring equipment is in good working order.
- Treat patients according to physician treatment plans, prioritizing patient care and safety.
- Collaborate with the nursing department to train Restorative Aides, promoting effective patient care.
- Communicate with supervisors and health team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
- Participate in in-service training programs for staff, enhancing knowledge and skills.
- Record treatment changes according to policy and procedures, maintaining accurate records.
- Instruct patient families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training, preparing patients for discharge.
- Report any equipment issues to ensure timely maintenance and repair.
- Licensed as a Staff Physical Therapy Assistant by the Board of the States.
- Proficient in computer skills, including data input into programs like Casamba and Point Click Care.
- Ability to read technical procedures, policy manuals, and comprehend complex instructions.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to respond to questions from managers, coworkers, and families.
- Mathematical skills, including application of concepts like fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, and make informed decisions.
