Position: Anesthesia Care Provider

As a Certified Anesthesia Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering anesthesia services under the supervision of licensed anesthesiologists. Your expertise will be essential in executing anesthesia care plans within a collaborative anesthesia care team, as outlined by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA).

Qualifications:

Educational Background:
Master's degree in Anesthesia from an accredited program recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (Required).

Experience:
Minimum of one year of relevant experience in pediatric care is preferred.

Core Competencies:

  • Conduct preoperative assessments and physical examinations.
  • Administer intravenous fluids and blood products effectively.
  • Deliver cardiovascular medications as necessary.
  • Adjust anesthetic levels based on intraoperative monitoring.
  • Ensure a safe transition for patients from the operating room to recovery.
  • Engage in postoperative pain management and assessment.
  • Contribute to research, administrative tasks, and clinical education.

Technical Expertise:

  • Insert and manage venous, arterial, and other invasive catheters.
  • Ensure airway security and management.
  • Administer and oversee regional anesthesia procedures.

Professional Development:

  • Stay updated with current practices through continuing education opportunities.
  • Mentor and guide fellow medical professionals.
  • Utilize research findings to inform clinical practices.
  • Participate in or lead research initiatives.
