Job Overview

The HR Generalist plays a crucial role in supporting the human resources functions within PENNANT MOLDINGS LLC. This position is responsible for executing various HR programs and ensuring compliance with employment regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties:

  • Administers and implements human resource initiatives, including compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Monitors and documents compliance with training and development requirements.
  • Conducts background checks and verifies employee eligibility.
  • Facilitates new hire orientations and employee recognition initiatives.
  • Addresses employment-related inquiries from staff and management, escalating complex issues as necessary.
  • Ensures adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and reviews policies for compliance.
  • Stays informed on HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
  • Manages payroll operations using the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversees payroll deductions for benefits and taxes.
  • Acts as the primary contact for employees regarding benefits and wellness programs.
  • Promotes corporate wellness initiatives and enhances communication regarding benefits.
  • Maintains compliance-related records and reporting.
  • Implements Lean Manufacturing principles to improve HR processes.
  • Adheres to safety policies and procedures within the organization.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Competencies
  • Proficient in various HR software applications, including payroll and benefits management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of handling sensitive situations with discretion.
  • Strong organizational abilities with a capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with social media and job board management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, with a minimum of five years of HR experience in the manufacturing sector, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in payroll and timecard management.
  • Proven recruitment experience utilizing diverse sourcing methods.
  • Understanding of benefits administration.
  • Experience managing leave programs in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities.
