We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Tech to join our team at St. Anthony Hospital. As a Sterile Processing Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by maintaining the cleanliness and sterility of surgical instruments and equipment.
Responsibilities- Decontaminate and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment using various methods, including steam, hydrogen peroxide, and ethylene oxide.
- Assemble and inspect surgical instruments, equipment, and trays to ensure they are properly prepared for use.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of sterilization and decontamination processes.
- Identify and report any issues or concerns related to equipment or supplies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operation of the hospital's surgical services.
- Graduation from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management Course (IAHCCSMM) or equivalent experience.
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) by the IAHCCSMM.
- One year of related work experience in an operating room, acute care hospital, or central services department.
