Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Critical Care Unit/Med Surg Float position. As a RN in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, while also floating to various medical-surgical units to support the needs of our patients and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Float to various medical-surgical units to support the needs of our patients and staff, including Critical Care (CC2, CC3, 2800), Cardiology/3800 Cardiac Critical Care, Pulmonary/Pulmonary Acute (IMC/Step Down), and 5000 Ortho/Neuro/Neuro Acute (IMC/Step Down).
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor and manage patient's hemodynamic and medication calculations, as well as provide education to patients and families on disease management and self-care.
  • Participate in department-specific training and orientation programs to ensure proficiency in skills and knowledge required for the role.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of South Dakota or compact state.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications, both AHA.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in critical care or medical-surgical nursing.
  • Ability to work rotating days/nights with 12 hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday, with options for straight weekend shifts.
