Job Opportunity: Dental Hygienist

SmileCare Dental of Fitchburg is seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to enhance the oral health and overall wellbeing of our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and protect patients' teeth by removing plaque, stains, and calculus.
  • Apply preventative materials to teeth, such as sealants and fluorides.
  • Teach patients effective oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health.
  • Take dental radiographs (x-rays) and assess patients' oral health.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure all procedures comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Manage infection control and prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
  • Stay current with developments in dental science relevant to dental hygiene.
  • Collaborate with the dentist to determine the best course of patient care.
Requirements:
  • Current RDH license.
  • Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, tools, and diagnostics.
  • Proficiency in using dental practice and management software.
  • A proactive team player with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • A compassionate and skilled dental hygienist committed to providing excellent patient care.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Basic life support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Adept at handling sensitive patient data with confidentiality.
