Senior Tax Accountant

Gallo is seeking a seasoned Senior Tax Accountant to play a pivotal role in enhancing our tax systems and processes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the preparation of tax returns and reports, ensuring compliance with FASB 109 for Tax Provision, and maintaining detailed tax records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare tax returns and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain detailed tax records, including financial statements and tax-related documents
  • Engage in responding to queries from tax authorities, supporting audit processes, and conducting tax research to keep our practices ahead of the curve
  • Prepare statistical and financial reports, implementing strategic tax initiatives, and fostering a culture of intrapreneurship and ownership within the team
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, plus 4 years of tax or accounting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
  • Computer skills requirements include: basic MS Word, intermediate MS Excel
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time for onboarding, training, meetings, and events
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or Master's degree in Accounting, plus 5 years of tax or accounting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
  • CPA license
  • Big 4 Tax or Accounting experience
  • CCH Income Tax Software
  • OneSource (Tax Stream) Provision Software
  • SAP General Ledger System
  • RIA/BNA Online Research Software
