Job Overview

Salary: $24-$30
Shift Timing: Monday-Friday 3pm-11:30pm
Compensation includes base hourly rate plus a $3 shift differential.

The CNC Machinist plays a crucial role in operating various machining tools including lathes, mills, and grinding machines, as well as utilizing measuring instruments to ensure precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, operate, and oversee CNC machinery.
  • Interpret blueprints and perform necessary setups.
  • Evaluate sample components against technical drawings or CAD designs.
  • Create fixtures using manual machinery.
  • Establish machine setups, develop and test programs, and make adjustments as required.
  • Draft programming instructions for all manufactured components.
  • Diagnose and resolve machinery issues during the production process.
  • Utilize hand tools and machinery to produce parts to exact specifications.
  • Conduct finishing operations and quality checks on products.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with mills, lathes, or other machining equipment, along with inspection tools.
  • Strong mechanical skills and aptitude.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers, and capable of reading blueprints.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and quality assurance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
  • Solid mathematical and computer skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Willingness to work overtime, occasionally on short notice.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
  • Availability to train on the first shift for up to three months.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing or technical fields.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship or formal training in the relevant specialty.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to consistently lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods, at least 4 hours daily.
  • Willingness to work with chemicals and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
