Job Summary:

Tabitha is seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice Caregiver to join our team. As a Hospice Caregiver, you will provide personalized care and support to seniors in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with meal preparation and household chores
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to seniors
  • Monitor and report changes in senior's condition to healthcare team
  • Maintain accurate records of senior's care and progress

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • CNA certification in good standing
  • Medication Aide training/competency testing prior to client care
  • CPR certification
  • Valid Nebraska Driver's license and good driving record
  • Auto insurance at or above Nebraska statutory requirements

Working Conditions:

  • Work in senior's homes, Tabitha facilities, or other settings as assigned
  • Exposure to dust, tobacco smoke, pets, insects, vermin, heat/steam, disinfectants, allergens, infectious waste, communicable diseases, bodily fluids, blood borne pathogens, cleaning products, and personal care products
  • Frequent driving between Tabitha office and senior's homes

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to drive vehicle from place to place and safely perform duties
  • Physical stamina to perform duties while moving about senior's homes for entire shift
  • Strength and agility to lift, push, pull, reach, squat, kneel, bend, carry, twist, pinch, grasp, or climb stairs
