As a Medical Assistant III at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care. You will work closely with practitioners and clinical staff to accomplish proactive patient management, performing a variety of technical, clerical, and patient care duties. Your responsibilities will include preparing sterile and unsterile fields, assisting with minor procedures, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:Interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members in a courteous and professional manner.Recognize and respond to patient needs and concerns.Obtain and record vital signs, prevention data, and other pertinent information.Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure patient safety and well-being.Document patient care interactions and activities accurately and efficiently.Ensure a clean, safe, and well-equipped environment for patients and staff.Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the improvement of patient care.Adhere to organizational and departmental standards, policies, and procedures.Perform duties in accordance with departmental scope of service and medical assistant scope of work.Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to provide care and/or service appropriate to age groups served.Demonstrate sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities in area of specialization.
