Position Overview: This role involves the assembly of generator sets and sub-assemblies, encompassing both standard and customized product lines. The position necessitates the use of hand and power tools while adhering to quality standards and procedural guidelines.

Additionally, this role contributes to process enhancements, boosts line efficiency, and undertakes various tasks as directed by the Line Lead or supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize work instructions, schematics, and equipment to execute assembly tasks of moderate complexity across diverse work areas (e.g., Line 1 and Large Assembly).
- Engage in cross-training across multiple assembly zones and assist in other areas as needed.
- Aid in the training of new personnel on work instructions and standard operating procedures.

- Cultivate and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the assembled products and engage in continuous learning of the principles, practices, and processes relevant to the role as changes arise.

- Propose and implement enhancements to existing equipment, designs, and processes to elevate safety, quality, and productivity.
- Contribute to the improvement of processes, lead times, and throughput.
- Identify and report defective or damaged components, incorrect sizes, substandard workmanship, and overall quality issues.
- Adhere to safety and environmental protocols as well as established processes and policies.
- Collaborate with supervisors to resolve issues based on the complexity of the situation.
- Provide insights on continuous improvement opportunities within the department.

- Foster a culture of compliance within the area of responsibility and uphold the values of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.

- Undertake special projects as required.

Equipment:
Computer and various tools. Qualifications:
Required: 2 years of assembly experience with heavy-duty equipment or 2 years of relevant mechanical experience.
Ability to meet Assembly 1 competency assessment.
Proficient in accessing necessary information using the SAP system.
Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to manage a variety of concrete variables.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated capability to deliver results in a fast-paced setting.
Proficient in both oral and written communication, with the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
Attention to quality and detail, along with strong organizational skills.
Ability to learn and adapt to evolving technology.
Proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools.
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. frequently.

Preferred:
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
Experience in large equipment industrial settings.
Strong mechanical skills.
