About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Albertsons Companies. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all vehicles to Company/DOT specifications at the lowest possible cost per mile.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance service and inspections
  • Diagnose and provide quick response for equipment failure while drivers are out on the road
  • Maintain and repair all equipment to include engine, electrical, drive train, suspension, body and fender, etc.
  • Supply own tools, toolbox and air tools
  • Follow company procedures and ensure a safe work environment
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in heavy duty tractor/trailer repair
  • Valid DOT physical card and a driver's license
  • Certification in the use of refrigerants and recycling equipment
  • Ability to complete appropriate documents in an efficient and legible manner
  • Computer skills are necessary
What We Offer

Competitive wages - $32.56 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Starting rates will vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
