About the Role

Care for the well-being of plasma donors and ensure the quality of plasma collected for medical use. As a Medical Professional at CSL Plasma, you will be responsible for evaluating donor suitability, administering immunizations, and providing emergency medical care. Your expertise will be essential in promoting positive customer relations and ensuring the safety of donors and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate donor suitability for plasma collection procedures
  • Administer approved immunizations and provide emergency medical care
  • Conduct confidential interviews with donors to obtain necessary information
  • Assess donor health and suitability for plasma collection
  • Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results
  • Explain informed consent to donors and obtain signatures
  • Handle medical emergencies at the center and elevate situations as needed
  • Review test results and determine continued donor suitability
  • Maintain knowledge of and apply all rules regarding four-month approvals and grace periods
Requirements
  • Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school, or naturopathic medical training program
  • Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare environment
  • Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred
  • Ability to make and analyze physical assessments and instruct donors and staff
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
