Nursing Professor

Anne Arundel Community College seeks a highly qualified and dedicated individual to fill the role of Nursing Professor in our Medical-Surgical Nursing Program. Located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, AACC has been serving the community for over 60 years by offering high-quality, affordable, and accessible learning opportunities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory nursing students, maintaining program compliance with accreditation standards, and collaborating with education partners to promote the instructional mission and vision of AACC. This is a tenure-granting institution, and full-time faculty contracts begin Aug. 16 and end June 15. The estimated salary for this position is around $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a Master's degree in nursing, minimum of two years of current full-time equivalent nursing experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing, and one-year experience (30 credit hours) with teaching and curriculum. Current Registered Nurse license, CPR certification, demonstrated leadership skills, strong customer service and critical thinking skills, and excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are also required. Preferred qualifications include PN experience, teaching experience at the community college level, and teaching skill labs using simulation.
