REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experienced cattle handler with versatility, capable of working across various operations including feedlot management, purebred care, growth and development yard tasks, and supporting bull and heifer preparation for annual sales.

  • A college degree is advantageous, though practical experience with a solid and verified work history is preferred.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Hansen Agri-Placement is seeking a Grow Yard and Development Operator for a feedlot in Nebraska to oversee daily operations due to an upcoming retirement.

Candidates should possess experience in feedlot responsibilities including feeding, yard monitoring, cattle evaluation, sorting, vaccination, and general yard upkeep as required.

The ideal candidate must be reliable, possess strong decision-making skills, be self-motivated, and willing to contribute across all facets of the operation.

This is a purebred operation, thus any background in purebred management, calving, record-keeping, and preparing cattle for annual sales will be beneficial.

The employer prefers candidates with 2-5 years of relevant experience to bring leadership, knowledge, and advanced skills to this role.
