Southcoast Health System is seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Cath Lab/Structural Heart department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities- Under the direction of the Administrative and Medical Director, perform diversified duties within and in support of the Structural Heart and Cardiac Cath Departments.
- Prepare patients for various procedures, including cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
- Conduct nursing assessments of patients, identify potential problems, and discuss findings with physicians.
- Assist physicians with the performance of cardiac catheterization, interventional, and structural heart procedures.
- Operate technical instruments used in patient monitoring, surgical intervention, and image processing.
- Calculate, prepare, and administer pharmaceuticals within the scope of practice.
- Identify and interpret physiologic reactions and take appropriate action.
- Provide a permanent record of significant, functional, anatomical, and/or pathological data obtained from each individual patient and document notes in a clear and concise manner.
- Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
- A BSN Degree is preferred.
- CPR and ACLS certifications are required.
- Critical care or cardiology experience required with a minimum of one (1) year of Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology experience is preferred.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
