Job Overview

Position Summary:
The Clinic Sonographer is responsible for performing ultrasound imaging procedures utilizing advanced diagnostic technology.

This position involves the interpretation and evaluation of ultrasound images to generate detailed reports, while also ensuring accurate patient documentation and promoting effective collaboration within the healthcare team.

Under direct supervision, the Clinic Sonographer is tasked with the upkeep and preparation of ultrasound equipment and necessary supplies for patient examinations.


Key Responsibilities in Allied Health:

1. Executes ultrasound imaging procedures using state-of-the-art technology, capturing high-quality images that support precise diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient progress monitoring.

2. Analyzes and interprets ultrasound images to create thorough reports for physicians, facilitating timely and accurate diagnoses for optimal patient management and enhanced healthcare outcomes.

3. Ensures the maintenance and readiness of ultrasound equipment and supplies for patient testing, guaranteeing peak performance and superior image quality.

4. Follows stringent safety protocols during ultrasound examinations to mitigate risks and prioritize patient safety.

5. Delivers exceptional patient care by addressing inquiries, clarifying procedures, and ensuring patient comfort throughout the imaging process, thereby enhancing patient satisfaction and cooperation.

6. Maintains and reviews patient records and documentation, filing test results and examination findings post-physician review to support efficient healthcare delivery and foster effective communication among the healthcare team.

7. Performs additional duties as required.



Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program recognized by the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) - Sonography.

EXPERIENCE:
Required: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Required: ARDMS Ultrasound Technologist or ARRT (S) - Sonographer certification.
