Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at St. Peter's Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with our surgical team to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to strict sterile protocols.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, providing emotional support and addressing any concerns.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist, with a strong background in orthopedic surgery.
  • Prior travel experience is highly preferred, with a proven ability to adapt to new environments and teams.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required.
  • Heavy experience in total joint and orthopedic surgery is essential, with a strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols.
