Job Overview

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Fond Du Lac, WI. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of students with disabilities.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the diverse learning needs and interests of students.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement effective support strategies.
  • Monitor and assess students' academic and social progress, providing targeted support to ensure their success.
  • Establish a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters engagement and participation.
  • Utilize a range of instructional strategies to engage students and promote active learning.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress and development.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions to stay informed and up-to-date on best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong understanding of IDEA and other relevant special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and support staff.
