Orthopedic Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse 13 Week Contract Rochester NY

We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team at Metropolitan Healthcare Services, Inc. in Rochester, NY. This 13-week contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional care to adult patients in need of observation and treatment.
Job DutiesThe Observation unit at Metropolitan Healthcare Services, Inc. is a dynamic and challenging environment that requires a high level of skill and expertise. As an Orthopedic Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for caring for adult patients who require additional observation to determine if their condition is serious enough for admission to the hospital or if they can be treated and released safely.
The Observation unit is a high-turnover environment, with an average length of stay of 27 hours. You will work closely with a diverse adult population, including emergency observation and admitted boarding patients. These patients will range from short stay to full admissions.
Job Requirements- Current RN License in the state of New York
- At least two years of Med-Surg experience
- Telemetry experience required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
ACLS certification is preferred.
